Christine Hill

Since the early 1980s, Christine’s paintings have featured the coast and waterways of Sydney’s northern beaches.  She now lives in Thirroul on the NSW Illawarra Coast where the ocean, escarpment and surfside lifestyle continue to inspire her paintings and ‘plein air’ watercolour sketches. Her art may be described as being of a narrative style, recording the local scene and using a variety of mediums - oil paints, watercolours, pastel and drawing.

Christine’s recent paintings and sketches very much reflect the way things have been in recent months; in a way, the changes have offered some more interesting ways to tell a story in pictures.
